DIY Nadelkissen aus unseren Bügeldosen

DIY pincushion from our ironing tins

And what happens to the empty iron-on tin after all that tea? In cold winter weather, you can rediscover your creative side and reuse the tins for your sewing work, for example. Wrap some foam in a colorful cloth and fix the whole thing in the empty tin with a little glue. Now you have all your needles ready to hand for the next artistic and productive hours at home!

This is what you need:

- fabric scraps

- sewing machine

- filling material

- thread

- 1 button

And here's how it works:

Cut out two circles (15 cm in diameter) and sew them together, right sides facing. Leave a small opening for turning. Turn the pincushion over and iron the edges neatly. Then you can fill your pincushion, close the opening and wrap the embroidery thread around it like a clock. Always stitch through the middle and sew a button in the middle at the end.
