Founded in 2020, makasol has stood for pure and natural spiced salt and tea blends as well as native cooking oils since the beginning.

Since the very beginning, we have been creating exquisite flavor compositions for special moments or everyday meals with great care and attention to detail. It goes without saying that we place the highest value on organic raw materials and regional partners. Only in this way can we meet our own quality standards – and bring the full flavor of selected fruits and herbs to your home.

makasol was born out of a passion for natural and organic products and the desire to share this love of nature with others. That's why we work with partners every day to create recipes and the most natural products that appeal to all the senses—and especially, of course, the taste buds.

Our salt and tea blends reflect the colorful diversity of nature, and we strive to create them so that they complement and harmonize perfectly. And we do so with a clear conscience, because every piece of salt, every herb, and every flower has been carefully selected and processed by us so that you can enjoy our products to the fullest.

The name "makasol" translates to nothing other than "earth" and "sun." And that's exactly what you'll find in our products. Everything that originates in the earth and ripens in the sun. And nothing else! This credo applies to every one of our products and every single raw material – be it our sea salt or the gently processed herbs and fruits.

Our partners for makasol's high-quality organic products are established Austrian manufacturers who enjoy our complete trust. Just like us, they value high quality, organic farming methods, and fair conditions for all producers in the manufacturing process.

We maintain close, personal contact with our local suppliers – and beyond Austria's borders. This not only creates jobs, but also gives us and you the assurance that each of our products meets the same high-quality standards. And what can't be sourced locally is sourced from countries where these herbs and fruits are native and can grow to their full potential. Here, too, close and personal collaboration with the people who cultivate our raw materials is our top priority.

OUR SALT - MICROPLASTIC-FREE SEA SALT

The basis for our salt compositions is uncontaminated sea salt from South Africa. Thanks to its gentle extraction process, this salt is preserved in its natural integrity. It comes from the west coast of South Africa, a region that has seen little human intervention to date. There, a vast subterranean seawater lake feeds our salt marshes, from which the salt for our seasoning blends is extracted by hand.

These special geological conditions on site ensure that our sea salt is completely free from microplastic contamination and that our salt compositions are completely free of anti-caking agents, preservatives, and additional iodization.

This is purity that can be seen and tasted.
