Coconut rice pudding with rose petals and strawberries
Rice pudding evokes fond childhood memories for most of us. But our sophisticated recipe will quickly show you that this dessert isn't just for toddlers; it's a treat for adults too. This rice pudding is also perfect for breakfast in bed – guaranteed, without any crumbs!
This is what you need:
- 150 g short grain rice
- 1 can (400 ml) coconut milk
- 150 ml water
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2-3 tbsp agave syrup
- 2 tbsp coconut flakes
- fresh strawberries
- a few rose petals for decoration (preferably from our Sensual Journey tea blend)
And here's how it works:
1. Combine rice, water, and coconut milk in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer on low heat for about 20-25 minutes, stirring frequently, until creamy. Then stir in the agave syrup and desiccated coconut.
2. Chop the strawberries into small pieces and layer them alternately with the rice pudding in a beautiful glass. Finally, garnish with a few rose petals. You can get rose petals at your local health food store, or you can pick a few from our "Sensory Journey" tea blend.
